First tender steps in the world of video editing

Here is a short summary of what happend:

Quite a while ago, I created a youtube account and...watched a lot of youtube videos. About a year ago I uploaded a and hosted a video I made for a friend about a medical pain therapy...and then I went back to watching vids.

I did that, until one day I skimmed through my favorite subscriptions, which are great youtube people like Phillip DeFranco or Peter Bragiel for instance, and was dissatisfied with my passive habits in that field.

Well, I've got a bit of material on my hands now, I've got the stories, the software and finally took the first steps into this exciting new world of video creation. I took on an easy enough project and the outcome is a tiny, weird teaser for my channel.

So, the first tender step is made and here's my conclusion: It was fun. Gonna do it again.

Here's my beginners project:

The ten things I enjoyed the most in 2011 (in that order)

  1. Cruising Canada by rail from East to West
  2. Cruising South West England (Cornwall, Somerset, Devon and the Cotswolds) by rail
  3. Hiking in Dartmoor, meeting wild horses and oldsmobiles
  4. Crossing the tundra of Manitoba by rail in a thunderstorm - most beautiful colors I've ever seen
  5. Going on the Misty Maid, getting all wet, and seeing the Niagara falls
  6. Watching a beautiful polar bear in its natural habitat (from a safe distance and with an armed guide)
  7. Keeping in touch with some precious folks I met abroad when we lived in England
  8. Dancing at a rave party in Winnipeg and having a great Canadian eh beer after that
  9. Exploring a ship wreck with a heck of a nice, well armed bear trapper in Churchill, Hudson Bay
  10. Re-visiting Paris for the umpteenth time
Yup! That was a year to remember - Two Thousand Eleven (aka Twenty Eleven).

2012, I have no idea how you're going to beat this.

Carry on world...
